Annette and Dave are lovely. So down to earth, friendly and fun - it was a pleasure to spend the day with them and their family and friends. Of course every wedding is about families coming together, but on their day, it was particularly noticeable. I loved Annette's dress with the stunning shoulder straps (which we had to tame....they kept pinging off when she was getting ready!) and her cute little flats. Hyde Park was at its autumnal best for the ceremony and then we headed off to the Pines at Kings Park for sunset. As one of my photographer mates said, 'you know wedding season is coming to an end when there is green on the floor there...' I love this time of year so much - October and April are the best months weather-wise and light-wise for weddings. No wonder they book up so quick!
The reception was held at the gorgeous Acqua Viva on the Swan. Annette and her bridesmaid Sarah organised all the decorations and they looked stunning. The night was filled with overwhelming emotion, joyous laughter and fabulous dancing...and let's not forget the raucous sound of the Collingwood club song. All I can say is thank heaven for autofocus as a few tears were shed behind this silly photographer's camera! The last image pictured here is Annette and Dave's guest book which I created with their favourite photographs from their engagement session.
