Christina and Andrew renewed their vows in Perth in November. Many family members and friends came from Denmark to celebrate! With 15 children out of 50 guests, Shannon and I were in clucky kid heaven. *Must not have any more. Must not have any more* haha! This gorgeous couple, who couldn't stop smiling the whole day, shared it with their two daughters who were ridiculously cute :)
Christina wore an elegant Pronovias gown. Cupcakes were organised as a pre wedding treat!
More wonderful arrangements by Rebecca Grace at Natural Art Flowers and a special coin below, which I'm pretty sure was worn in Christina's shoe to the point of being painful! The things we do... ;)
The ceremony was held at Cottesloe Civic Centre's Secret Garden, one of my fave places in Perth for weddings.
Andrew's sister organised a few surprises for the bride and groom on the day, including a butterfly release, which of course the kids adored.
In between the family portraits are often the best photos tehehe
A very windy North Cottesloe beach...
We headed up to Sandalford Wines for the reception and enjoyed an hour of walking around the grounds for more location portraits before heading in for pre dinner drinks with the guests.
Beautiful centrepieces by Natural Art Flowers. Gorgeous canapés and desserts by Sandalford.
A lovely speech by Christina's mother and I just love that Emilia jumped in to look after her mum when she was upset.
A Danish wedding tradition is that every time the guests knock on the plates or glasses, the bride and groom have to stand on their chairs and have a kiss!
Libby Hammer and Hip Mo Toast were again amazing and had everybody dancing.
When it came time for the traditional bridal waltz, the couple were encircled by everyone clapping faster and faster, crowding them until they were squished in the middle. Then the men lifted up the groom, took off his shoes and cut the toes off his socks! I read somewhere this symbolises that he will not follow in the footsteps of other women from then on haha!
It was a fabulous night and reaffirmed my wish to stay at the receptions until the dancing is in full swing. All of my packages now feature a flat rate which includes a second photographer and your proofs and is for full coverage. I love receptions, especially ones featuring lots of laughter, dancing and enjoyment! As a photojournalist, I love to tell the full story of your day rather than just a few hours of it.
Congratulations to Christina and Andrew, now back in Denmark :) Also, big thanks to Shannon; another fabbo day with you!
