The lovely Leah and Chris were married on April Fool's Day :) (I promise it really happened!) It was such a stunning day and the light was perfect for a late ceremony at Caversham House. I love later ceremonies, especially in the middle of summer when it is so hot at 1-3pm! Leah got ready at the Hyatt with fantastic views over Perth and the Swan River. Note to other photographers: there are parking spots outside - some are 2 hour, some are 1 hour. You guessed it, I got myself un billet :(
Such is life and I arrived at Caversham to find the most beautiful afternoon in the Hidden Gardens. Open shade with a bit of flare...oh heaven!
Since we had a fashionably late bride to the ceremony, we abandoned plans to go gallivanting around the Swan Valley and instead chose lovely spots around Caversham. The reception was fabulous, filled with fantastic speeches, great service from the venue, stunning food and some interesting dance moves. Nanna, you rocked. This was the first wedding I have been to that I wanted to adopt all 5 children there and take them home with me. I spent my break hanging out with the littlies and seeing what faces they could pull with a killer python lolly ;)
Big thanks to Leah and Chris for allowing me to share in their celebrations! You two are so much fun - thank you Chris for the 'Fawlty Towers' high kicks in imitation of Leah walking in her dress and thank you Leah for your speech. "I was reading up on wedding etiquette and noticed that the bride does not usually make a speech. If any of you thought that wouldn't happen, you are obviously at the wrong wedding". Love it....
