A face only a mother could love.

Charlie’s Christmas

Okay I’m under orders from my blog-stalkers to post more pics of Charlie! So here we go - love this one from Xmas Day, playing with his sister’s presents and ignoring his own.

There’s nothing wrong with him wanting to play with a dollhouse, okay?

Will post a few more later…

Phuket: the rest…

Okay, so here are the rest of the happy snaps from the holiday in Phuket. I know my family is hanging out to see them all and my MIL (hello!) is checking them out tonight so I better post the rest. I apologise for the quality - combination of straight out of camera, old point and shoot and a husband. But memories are memories! I’ve put them in a gallery format as there are a lot so just click on them to make them larger.

Cobra Show in Phuket

Can anyone say crazy dudes?

One of our adventures in Phuket was taking the kids to see the cobra show - where they got to hold pythons and watch suicidal Thai men kiss King Cobras and other lovely snakes. Toby, who is the snake lover, nearly became hysterical with fear, while Amber decided to nearly fall in the pit with excitement. Charlie was non-fussed and probably quite bored. I was quite amused however.

Planning the next trip…

Okay I whimpered a bit to my hubby last night. ‘Come on, lets plan the next holiday already. I know we’ve just been on one, but we have to just book it or we won’t get around to it.’

Sooo…next stop Vietnam! Hopefully in June next year (off peak wedding season!). I have always wanted to go to Halong Bay so this is it! We won’t be taking all the kids this time. Just the Chunk. Tobes and Amber can stay with their respective parents (see, stepfamilies do work!)

I can’t wait! Bring on my tax refund - it will be paying for the tickets! woo hoo

Just so the big kids don’t miss out, we’ll be taking them to Kalbarri in late Jan for a week. Wow, 3 holidays within a year, I’m doin’ well. I am a bit of a traveller for those that don’t know me and want to see as much as I can before my number’s up. Anyone who tells you that it’s impossible with kids is lying. It can be done; it just brings a different dimension to the travelling. I find, especially in SE Asia, that having kids is a way into the culture. Sooo many Thai people wanted to talk to the kids, play with Charlie and it was our way of getting to know them. Some Thai girls even picked Charlie up and gave him a cuddle, then went off to show their friends. Once you got over the ‘where are you taking my baby?’ issue, it became hilarious how popular he was.

Here’s one such incident - although Chunk doesn’t look too happy. Not his type maybe…He’s so picky with women!
