Jo and Sean - Married at beautiful Cottesloe

I have a bit of a soft spot for these two and their intimate and laid-back wedding as it was so similar to mine. Jo and Sean decided to come out to Perth for a holiday with their little boy, and get married at the same time with their closest friends. It turned out to be a stunning day with Perth putting on its best show for the newlyweds. The ceremony was held at the Arch Monument at Cottesloe which features a stunning backdrop of the Indian Ocean. The friends relaxed together after the location portraits at the Indiana Teahouse.

Big thanks go to Jenn at The Original Wedding Company for making the day flow so smoothly and to Carolyn Smith, the wonderful celebrant.

Congratulations Jo and Sean - I wish you all the best for the future. xxx

Dad’s little girl no more.

I’m editing Yusri and Mastura’s images at the moment and taking my time as I remember all the great moments of the day. This moment in particular made me shed a tear behind the camera on the day (yes I’m overemotional but I don’t care anymore). Mastura’s father congratulates his new son-in-law and moves on to hug Mastura. They hold each other for a while and I don’t think Mastura wanted to let go, realising that ‘this was it’. Her dad bowed his head while she looked so vulnerable. It’s such a beautiful moment and this is why I love what I do.

In the decades to come, their children will be able to view the emotion felt on their parents’ wedding day and the ties that the family has. As I get older I’m starting to treasure the images from my childhood and seeing my parents in their youth. My father is getting older and I know one day that my pictures (and the camera he gave me) will be all I have left. Wow, I’m a mess even writing this - stupid emotional woman!!

The Wedding of Kelly and Spencer

What a beautiful day on Saturday. Kelly and Spencer got married at Tropical Grove at UWA (along with about 7 other couples I think!) with their fun and fabulous reception at St Georges College - my new favourite reception location. The grounds are just magnificent.

The all important getting ready shots:

Love love love the shoes!

Kelly wore jewellery that has been passed down from her mother and grandmother. They too wore this on their wedding days. What a fantastic tradition.

The amazing and very unique bouquets by Vegetal in Subiaco:

The independent and very festive (!) bride trying to do up her zip herself

Duties of bridesmaids - putting on shoes, blotting and helping with jewellery:

Kelly’s mum Lois attaches her veil - awwww

See I told you Kelly that Spencer was enjoying himself prior to the ceremony - not at all nervous - just ready to be your groom!

The final touches:

My fave moment of the ceremony - ‘Could everyone make sure their mobiles are switched off?’ says Graham Lambert (celebrant extraordinaire). Lois remembers her phone is still on and in her bag!

The look of love…

The boys pose, Roger David style

And the girls just crack up

Some portraits around UWA

The now-infamous pip-spitting contest of 2008 (I love that you can see the pip flying through the air!)

Off to St Georges College - so beautiful! The amazing car is courtesy of Kelly’s brother Rob - so cool!

The fabulous Hip Mo Toast fronted by Libby Hammer set a beautiful relaxed atmosphere at the College:

The gorgeous cake and the newly weds are introduced

Finally a couple of the many photobooth piccies! I will blog later in the week to show you all the booth pictures in their very own gallery!

Congratulations again Kelly and Spencer - I wish you every happiness and a great mini-honeymoon down South.

I love my beautiful new website!

Finally I have got it ready - tweaks completed and bugs fixed (I hope)

Here is the widescreen view and below that, a grab showing the info tab to the left where you will find pricing and general information including answers to frequently asked questions.

And the galleries, just below the info tab, featuring weddings and portraits. A boudoir section is still being completed and will be online within a week. The grab below shows the thumbnail option (available by clicking on the icon on the bottom right of screen) which means you can scroll through, find your fave photos and click on them to enlarge them to the gallery window!

I hope you love it as much as I do! Feedback is always welcome
